Marie C Donnelly works for the European Commission in DG Energy as Director for new and renewable sources of energy, energy efficiency and innovation, with responsibility for the development of policy and actions on energy efficiency, including the implementation of legislative requirements for buildings, eco-design and labeling. Further responsibilities include the development of policies and actions, leading to the achievement of the EU 20% target for renewable energy and the coordination of research actions in the field of energy. Prior to joining the Commission, Mrs Donnelly worked as Industry Group director with the Federation of Irish Chemical Industries.
