Special Envoy of the Czech Republic for Energy Security
Václav Bartuška is Ambassador-at-Large for the Energy Security of the Czech Republic and the Czech government special envoy for the tender for two reactors at the Temelín nuclear power plant. In the past he was involved in the Velvet Revolution and later became a member of a special parliamentary committee overseeing the investigation into the events of 17 November 1989. He worked as a journalist for the Czech newspaper Mladá Fronta Dnes and was secretary general for the Czech presentation at Expo 2000 in Hannover. Václav Bartuška studied journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague.
