Analyst, Nuclear Energy Agency, OECD

Marc Deffrennes joined the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency in 2014 as a senior nuclear analyst with the Nuclear Development Division in charge of the NEA Nuclear Innovation 2050 Initiative. Previously, he worked in the nuclear industry for Westinghouse on nuclear safety, plant operation, radiation protection, and education and training. He also worked in different European Commission DGs on Euratom issues. He was involved in setting up  SNETP (Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform) and in developing the nuclear elements of the EU SET Plan. Marc graduated as a nuclear engineer from the University of Louvain in 1980.
