Dean, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno

Břetislav Dančák is Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University in Brno and an associate professor at the Department of International Relations and European Studies. Previously, he served as director of the International Institute of Political Science, a leading university-based think-tank in the Czech Republic. He spent an academic year as a Fulbright visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York. His research focus is energy security and international relations. He is lead person and responsible for the MA Energy Security Studies program, launched at the Faculty of Social Studies a few years ago.
