Conseiller Hors Classe for Innovation and Competitiveness, DG Climate Action, European Commission

Anneli Pauli is Conseiller at DG Climate Action, and President of the Lappeenranta University of Technology. She has extensive national and international experience in research, innovation and university policy. Professor Pauli was deputy director general of the European Commission for more than six years and vice president and secretary general of the Academy of Finland for 11 years. She also served as director of Heureka and of the Finnish Science Center at the Finnish Ministry of the Environment. She received her doctorate from the University of Helsinki and has an honorary doctorate from Aalto University.
