Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic

Jan Mládek has been Minister of Industry and Trade since 2014. Previously he was Czech minister of agriculture, and a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Czech Social Democratic Party. In the 1990s he was deputy minister to the minister of economics, and external advisor to the minister of industry and trade. Mr Mládek graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, then studied at the Forecasting Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where in 1990 he received the title of Candidate of Sciences. He also studied mathematics and physics for two years at Charles University in Prague.
