Head, Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia

Dušan Chrenek is Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia. In the past he worked at the Policy Unit of the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy. He held a number of positions at the Slovak foreign ministry: head of department of the chief negotiator for Slovak accession to the EU, deputy director for analysis and planning, and deputy ambassador at the Slovak embassy in Madrid. Mr Chrenek studied diplomacy at Oxford University and the Diplomatic School in Madrid. He graduated in international relations at Comenius University in Bratislava and electrical engineering at the Slovak University of Technology.
